Ingredients:
Plain flour: ¾ cup
Sugar: 1 cup
Butter: 1 cup
Eggs: 3
Baking powder: 1 tsp
Ground almond: 1 cup
Base of tin
Whole slice Almond: 15
Crushed: ½ cup
Butter: 1 tsp
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180%.With an electric better, beat butter and sugar until it becomes a paste. Add eggs one by one. Then add vanilla essence.Sieve plain flour and baking thrice. Then mix ground almond .Add this batter into the egg mixture. If the mixture is slightly thick (because of cold weather) then add 1 – 2 tsp of milk to make it smoother. Take a tin and grease it well with 1 tsp of butter and sprinkle flour in it. Next arrange sliced almonds on the base of tin. Now sprinkle the crushed almonds on the side of tin as well.Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and bake at 120 C fan oven (or 170 C regular, Gas mark 3) for 35 mins until a skewer comes out clean. Leave to cool and enjoy!
